Charity begins at home…

Can you cook – other than for your family — an iftar meal for mere
strangers? For five strangers? Maybe 10? Even that sounds a bit impossible,
but here we have a family and their friends in Mabela that cooks iftar for
nearly 2000 people every day during this Holy Month! And they have been
doing that for the last nine years!

Also featured is the remarkable charity group, Al Rahma Charity based in Al
Khoud, which has, since 2008, been taking care of the underprivileged,
low-income sections of the society, orphans and families alike, and those in
financial distress and providing support for the disabled in various forms.

In short, we feature a slice of life and the soaring spirit among the people
during this Holy Month.
