Sama Al Wasil Camp

Sama Al Wasil is a desert camp in the North Sharqiya Sands, close to Al Wasil — you don’t need a 4WD to get there, though it’s recommended. Accommodation is in Bedouin-style chalets and sultan tents, all air conditioned with en-suite bathrooms and private outside seating areas. The camp has a restaurant on site and runs a good range of activities including dune bashing, camel rides, sunset watching trips, Wadi Bani Khalid excursions, and Bedouin house visits. One of the more unusual touches is the open-air cinema — Bedouin-style lounge seating under the stars with the dunes as the backdrop. It’s a solid option if you want a desert night that’s comfortable but not overly polished.
