The Women’s Guild in Oman (WGO) will hold its annual Winter Bazaar at the Al Bahja Hall, Jungle Restaurant in Qurum Natural Park on November 19.
According to Sunaina Serna Ahluwalia, Publicity Coordinator, WGO, “Commonly referred to as the Winter Craft Fair it is one of the most popular fairs.
“This is the fourth Winter Craft Fair and it has steadily grown in popularity over the years. In fact now people wait to visit the WGO Winter Craft Fair. This time, we have a packed house with 70 stalls, which is the highest ever. All the spaces are booked. While a majority of the stalls have been booked by WGO members, some have been booked by non-members and charities as well,” she said.
Sunaina added that the fair will be a one-stop shop for buying Christmas gifts.
“There will be an exciting range of items on sale, from handmade goods to clothes, accessories and Christmas items. This is the much awaited, one stop shop for buying all your Christmas presents.”
The main aim of WGO, is to give back to the community.
“This entails raising funds for various charities. The Summer and Winter Craft Fairs and the Crystal Ball are among the most popular events,” she added.
The Crystal Ball this year will be held at Al Midan Amphitheatre of the Shangri-La’s Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa on December 6.
“So far, we haven’t decided where the Winter Crafts Fair funds will be used but it will go towards the same goal of giving back to the country that has given all of us so much. By supporting the event you are not only getting the best quality gifts for your friends and family, you are also contributing to the community by helping us raise funds,” Sunaina added.
The fair will be open from 9am to 1pm.
