Best Western Sur is a three-star hotel in the coastal city of Sur, around 220km from Muscat — about two and a half hours by road. Managed by Aitken Spence Hotels, the property has 105 rooms and suites, an outdoor pool, gym, spa, restaurant and bar.

Sur is known for its maritime heritage — it’s one of Oman’s oldest trading cities and still builds traditional wooden dhows. The hotel is well placed for day trips to Turtle Beach at Ras Al Hadd (one of Oman’s main green turtle nesting sites), Wadi Bani Khalid, and the Wahiba Sands. It’s a solid overnight base if you’re doing a longer drive around eastern Oman rather than staying within Muscat.
